Andrew Holson - Project Manager

Andrew grew up in Woodstock, Vermont, and studied Psychology and Chemistry at the University of Vermont. After working in real estate, he grew a strong interest in how houses are built and designed. This interest led him to work as a carpenter; learning all aspects of construction.

In 2020, he founded Bluedove Builders to unite his knowledge and experience with his passion for great service. Andrew believes excellence in building is as much about the process as the finished product—approaching every project with attention, clear communication, and collaboration so clients feel confident from start to finish.

Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, tackling construction projects around his home, and spending time with his wife, Hanna, and their dog, Sadie.

Jack Snyder - Carpenter

Jack was introduced to woodworking and carpentry at the age of 12. He first learned to use power and hand tools to cut mortise and tenon joinery alongside his dad for their home in Barnard, Vermont. Jack fell in love with learning about traditional woodworking techniques and the stages of the home building process.

Prior to working with Bluedove Builders, Jack worked with Green Mountain Timberframes in Middletown Springs, VT, restoring historic timberframe barns throughout the Northeast. After dismantling, cleaning and repairing the frames, they re-erected them for clients, giving the structures a new life (typically as homes).

Jack is also a very skilled musician — singer, songwriter, guitarist, and drummer. He attended Berklee College of Music and then on to University of Vermont where he gained a teaching degree in music education. Jack loves playing music with his friends and his partner Maya, and spending time with their dog and two cats.

Mike McGlinn - Carpenter

Mike was raised in Hartland, Vermont, where early experiences with carpentry at home sparked an interest in building. Early summer jobs including stone masonry, farming and construction furthered his experience and appreciation for craftsmanship.

His love for the outdoors led him to the Rubenstein School of the Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont, where he studied Wildlife Biology. After graduation, his lifelong passion for skiing took him to Utah, where seasonal work included summer employment as a carpenter in Park City. After returning to Vermont, he worked for 12 years on a local family owned farm in Hartland where he gained expertise on dairy farming, split rail fencing and maple sugaring.

Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, hiking, making maple syrup and cider, and working in the garden with his partner, Nicole.
