A detached, insulated two-car garage with an apartment on the second floor. Before this project, cars were parked about 150' from the house, which meant a long, icy walk to the door every winter. The new garage makes that trip short and simple, and the apartment above adds space for guests and a home office. It includes a 3/4 bathroom and a large living/office and sleeping area, with plumbing and electrical roughed in for a future kitchenette. Crown molding, soffits, and exterior trim were detailed to match the existing house.
