Great building starts with great people. Our crew — seasoned carpenters, skilled trades, and hands-on project leadership — brings the same approach to every project: thoughtful construction, careful details, and a process that works.

Andrew Holson

Andrew founded Bluedove Builders in 2020, bringing together a background in real estate and construction to start a company built on craftsmanship and clear communication. He grew up in Woodstock and built Bluedove on the idea that homebuilding should be enjoyable — not something to survive. That comes down to process: how a builder plans, makes decisions, and works alongside the homeowner shapes the experience as much as it shapes the house. When he's not working you'll find him skiing, mountain biking, or tackling projects around his own home with his wife, Hanna, and their dog, Sadie.

Principal / Project Manager

Hanna Snyder

Hanna has called the Woodstock area home for much of her life and spent the last decade in nonprofit leadership - running volunteer programs, managing events, and leading a statewide cancer coalition - work that sharpened exactly the skills that make a construction company run well: building relationships, managing complexity, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Outside of work, you'll find her mountain biking, Nordic skiing, or traveling whenever the opportunity arises.

Managing Director

Ned grew up in Western Massachusetts, racing for Okemo in the winters and spending his formative summers on Block Island, where he learned all aspects of construction - from excavation and concrete work to detailed interior finishing. He also owned and operated a commercial lobster boat, and volunteered with the Block Island Fire Department for 13 years, retiring as Chief. After moving to mainland Rhode Island in 2008, he worked as a project manager and site supervisor on award-winning projects featured in publications including Dwell, finding that the more challenging a project was, the more he enjoyed it. He and his partner, Meg, moved to Vermont last year and can usually be found riding gravel bikes or hiking in the mountains.

Jack Snyder

Lead Carpenter

Jack was introduced to carpentry at 12, cutting mortise and tenon joinery alongside his dad at their home in Barnard, Vermont - and never lost his love for traditional woodworking techniques. Before joining Bluedove, he worked with Green Mountain Timberframes restoring and re-erecting historic timber barns throughout the Northeast. Outside of work, he's an accomplished musician (singer, songwriter, guitarist, and drummer) and can usually be found playing music with his partner Maya or their dog and two cats.

Duncan Pogue

Duncan grew up in Hartford, VT and was introduced to carpentry at 21 when he joined his older brother to fully renovate a small house in Montana - a project that set the course for everything that followed. With nearly 20 years of experience and a degree in environmental science from UVM, he's excited to be collaborating with the Bluedove team to execute high quality, thoughtfully designed homes. Outside of work, he's passionate about his family, growing a big garden, doodling on his guitar, and building and tinkering on his farm.

Morgan Haynes

Morgan Haynes is born and raised in Woodstock and a graduate of Woodstock Union High School. A skilled welder and hands-on builder, he brings years of practical, on-the-ground experience to every project. Morgan spent over seven years living in Tbilisi, Georgia, where he remains a part owner of a wine bar. An avid traveler with a love of the outdoors, he spends his free time skiing, hiking, and working on projects around the house.

Carpenter

Mike was raised in Hartland, Vermont, where early work in stone masonry, farming, and construction built a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. A Wildlife Biology graduate from UVM, his love of the outdoors took him to Utah before bringing him back to Vermont, where he spent 12 years on a local family farm mastering everything from dairy farming to maple sugaring - all while continuing to build. Outside of work, you'll find him skiing, hiking, or making maple syrup and cider in the garden with his wife, Nicole.

Mike McGlinn

Olivia got her start at a unique off-grid campground made up of tiny homes, yurts, and bus conversions. Her first project there was building a tiny cabin and now she works as a residential carpenter on full-sized homes! She particularly enjoys finish work. Outside of work, she loves all the outdoor sports - skiing, surfing, climbing.

Olivia Fan

Ren Kelly

Ren began her building career in high school on a framing crew, studied furniture design in college, and went on to fabricate public art for the city of Providence and work as an aerospace welder. She moved to Vermont in 2024, taught trade skills and welding, and made the decision to foray back into carpentry - where her favorite aspect is problem solving. Ren comes from a diverse background of skills and is excited to expand them at Bluedove. For fun she enjoys biking, long hikes, making music with her partner, baking, and taking her senior cat out on the lawn.
